The Law Office of Gary L. Stapp is pleased to Give Back to the community by offering Alaska students scholarship opportunities for 2019. 

There are three categories of merit scholarships that are available.  Here is a summary of the eligibility requirements.  


1.   High Mark Scholarship A snowmachining term to indicate those that competitively hit that highest mark on the mountain.  Academic Degree Scholarship, $1000.  Nonrenewable.
A.  Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school or Correspondence Study or Distance delivery program recognized by the State of Alaska Department of Education. 
B.  Applicant must reside in the Fairbanks and North Pole or outlying areas.  Anchorage/Wasilla/SE Alaska not eligible. 

C.  Minimum required GPA of 3.0.
D.  Must show formal acceptance letter at the college or university of your choice to receive funds.


 2.  Stock the Cache Scholarship Career and Technical Scholarship, $1000.  Nonrenewable
 A.  Applicant must be enrolled or accepted as a part-time or full-time student at an accredited school in a 2-year or shorter program leading toward a recognized license, certificate, associates or lower level degree. 
B.   Applicant must reside in the Fairbanks and North Pole or outlying areas.   Anchorage/Wasilla/SE Alaska not eligible.

C.  Minimum required GPA of 2.5 from most recent educational institution attended.  



3. The Permafrost Scholarship.  For those students with strong Alaskan roots.  Nonrenewable.   $1000
A.   Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school or Correspondence Study or Distance delivery program recognized by the State of Alaska            Department of Education.
B.  Applicant must reside in the Fairbanks and North Pole or outlying areas.   Anchorage/Wasilla/SE Alaska not eligible.
C.  Applicant must be born and raised in Alaska.  Birth certificate as proof will be required of the winning applicant. 
D.  Acceptance into an accredited educational program. 
E.     Minimum required GPA of 2.0 from most recent educational institution attended. 


 We are not planning to offer a scholarship for 2021.
